lol that was 2600K, it pulls down to around -30ish under load but I dont usually look down there when benching, I will note temps next time its running. Hopefully my newest cpu will be here this week.

Nice Need to remember that thats evap temps also.....CPU temp will be heaps higher......Putting a on the probe helps to keep an eye on things but isnt a must.

Another way to tell is to load coretemp or realtemp (it will read some crazy number) and run wprime 1024 and see if you start hitting early - or even + temps.....if it doesnt move your SS is holding her nice

PS - your PM's are full lol

EDIT: sent

Ando - yeah I know its only evap temp but coretemp doesnt like it and Asus monitoring doesnt go lower than -10, sometimes under load Asus alerts me that cpu is -4 or so, so I dont know if its really that hot or what, I dont care as long as its stable.

they are using a thing called a phase cooler abe and its like a fridge that plugs onto your CPU and takes it to minus 50 degrees, its awesome for benching 775 and sandy CPU's

i just scored myself a tri kit of gskill PI's 2000mhz c6. so thats perfect for my gamer and i can put my other kit into full benching mode.

leaves me with 2 kits i might sell jimba
2250 3x2gb kingston hyper x and 2x2gbGskill PI 2200
