Cheers agg, I was going to bump this and ask how it has been with those that purchased.
I would be looking to use it as a replacement diary and as a digital book reader, and also to test the water with android and ics. How useful would this tablet be?

After playing with the ICS release for this tablet, i can say it makes the tablet 1000 times better. Just the fact that the OS its setup for a tablet and makes our resolution seem a little better due to making the density a lot smaller (lots more screen real-estate

it's 99% stable, still not finished modding it though, i can tell you im so happy with it. agg your crazy if you don't flash yours to ICS.

I can't get that patch to work, can't install the driver, so can't pick up the device when in USB debugging mode. What driver are you using? I followed the one to that fabric company but that didn't help either.

edit: nm, got these working:

http://www.kmods.net/android/how-to/...river-install/

patch doing its thing now.

I am trying the Ramos W6HD.

+ 7" 1024x600 Capacitive LCD.
+ 1Ghz Cortex A9 CPU (I have been caught out with limited apps after getting a MIPS based processor)
+ 8Gb HDD, 512Mb RAM
+ First to be released with ICS from manufacturer (Yes, before the Ainol).
+ Front/Back Camera, USB 3G modem, WiFi-N, G-Sensor
+ HDMI out, USB OTG, Headphones, SD Card slot
+ 2160p media playback (!)
+ 340 grams light
+ Full Android Market, Flash etc.
+ 5-7 Hours use

- No GPS, no inbuilt modem
- Not USB charger, requires power plug

See comparison here:
http://blog.mcbub.com/index.php/tabl...spec-showdown/

All up, it looks like an awesome little unit for $154.78AU with express delivery.
Picked up a screen protector, soft case and hard compendium style case for $1ea extra.

I was looking for a device for:
1) General web surfing in front of the TV
2) Play MKVs via HDMI on hotel TVs when travelling domestically
3) Email and Video chat when travelling internationally

ICS does feel a bit sluggish at the moment, i assume they haven't got the hardware accelerated UI working properly yet.

Games take good advantage of the hardware though.

Only thing i am dissapointed in this tablet is the resolution, especially when being used to 1280x720 on my 4.6" galaxy nexus.

If anyone's keen on that "Novo 7 Paladin" one (I ordered one weeks ago, no idea if it's on the way or what), seems they're on special for the next 22 hours or so @ $87.99 instead of $109.99

Guess at that price, unless it catches fire, you can't very well go wrong for something to use around the house.
