Update #2. The reply:

Quote:
Hi Keith,
This is our best price. You will save on one single freight cost. Thank you.
Kind Regards
This means I can get 30 Thermapens shipped to me at $20.35. The cost:

Thermapen: $89
Shipping to me: $0.64
Shipping to you: Auspost calculator here from postcode 3124 (appears to be $6.35 to every location in Australia)
Total: $95.99 (vs. $112.50 if bought from the distributor) - round up to $96. I make $0.01c profit, yay!!

If you want to order yours individually, the contact number is here: link.

This also means:
- The savings from shipping two seperate orders would be around $0.76 per pen - almost negligible. This opens the possibility of sending a seperate shipment to Sydney if you guys want. I would need a volunteer. This also means your price goes up. I am not sure if you can pick up the pens from the sales office.
- I can take an unlimited number of orders

What to do from here:
- DO NOT PM ME. Thanks everyone for your PM's, but you will rapidly overwhelm my PM inbox if you keep sending PM's.
- Please CHECK that you are on the EOI list by looking at post #1 and #2 in this thread.
- You have an opportunity to pull out by making a public post now.
- I will PM everyone left on the EOI list my BSB and A/C number.
- If you have failed to state a colour preference by the time I place the order, I will order a black pen for you.
- If you have failed to state your location, please do so now. It makes it easier.
- If you still want to get in on this group buy, and do not find your name on the EOI list, make a post. I will make the deadline for payment on Monday, 16th January.

I'm out mate. Spoke to a buddy of mine in the states and he's going to bring some back at the end of Jan.

hes grabbing two so grabbing 5 total from the US for 80US a pop. He lives around the corner so no postage

Bit of a shame the Australian distributor won't discount :O. You would think 30 in one hit would be a pretty good way to kick off an exclusive distribution channel.

i can take the 2nd delivery if you like

from thermo works for an order of 10 it comes to US$835

$83.50 + 6.50 = $90 each

still probably easier and quicker (assuming they have stock) to get local for thee sake of $6. and also dont have to worry about short term fluctuations in the exchange rates.

edit: Amfibius does $89 each include gst? if its a commercial disty they may not include gst in there quoted price.

Worth that to not have to deal with an over the phone CC transaction.
