Its ok Ive pulled it back down to standard 5Ghz volts. Was only for a quick bench!

So you run 5ghz which is 100% prime stable at 1.55v? no wonder why you degrade cpu's.

Power consumption scales exponentially with voltage, stock voltage for a 580 is 1.038v and for the cpu would be ~1.15v. I'd estimate each 580 would be pulling around 400W, and probably close to 300W for the cpu alone. The 6990 is 300W normally, and ~400W with the oc bios iirc.

Nice work and now you can relax and enjoy your system

It's been a fun build to watch!

I wonder how well my 480s would go with 1.3v...

Yes it all adds up quickly when you start pushing the volts.
The 27Fans and 4 Pumps do pull about 250W and the CPU just over 300W, combined with close to 400W per GPU @ 1.32v.

400x4 =1600 + 250 + 300 = 2150W (that doesnt include, SSDs, DVD, Chipset/RAM, controllers LCD, USB peripherals)
The MaxRevo PSUs are in the 90% (90-94%) efficiency range so this is pretty close to my 2200W at the wall.

Well I can almost relax!

I still have a few cables to make and sleeve, but I'm pretty happy where I got to with the OC and modding so thats pretty much it!!

I've been playing a few games in surround at max AA and its amazing!
EDIT: Rage uses 2.5GB of Vram at 16xAA 6048x1080, MW3 uses 1.6GB vram so the extra vram makes a difference! AVG FPS in Rage is 30FPS @16xAA and 60FPS @ 8xAA and 100FPS in MW3 @ 4xAA.

Nvidia surround is still buggy on X79 though, it refuses to boot when turned on bugging out with a 3B stop error unless I unplug the 2nd & 3rd monitors and I then reactivate them once into windows. Its a pain! I also have a ground issue on one of the DVI ports as its detecting a phantom analog monitor on card 3. Ive pulled it down and cleaned with iso alcohol and a brush but that didnt fix it.

Got a question for you guys!

What's the hottest water temp you think it's safe to run at long term?

I was playing my flight sim for an hour today in surround which pushes all 4 GPUs to 100% constantly.

It pushed the GPU core temps to 61c and water temp to 51c out of the GPUs and 47c after cooling in the radiators. This was after 1 hour. The CPU wasnt much better at 42c after CPU and 40c after cooling.

Ambient temp in my room is about 28c at the moment.
CPU idles at 40c with 35c water & peaks at 75c with 40c water
GPUs idle at 34c with 34c water & peaks at 61c with 47c water

The system was rock solid and stable drawing a constant 1800Ws from the PSU's during that time.

You should have felt the hot air coming out the exhaust fans! Almost as hot as factory GPU air coolers when on max load! Ambient temp in my room went up to about 32c.

Whats your thoughts am I pushing my cooling too far?

Yeah or my long-term plan of adding a marine aquarium chiller outside to replace the rads might have to be brought forward!

Thanks Creekin thats exactly the sort of stuff I wanted to know!

Also did a proper noise level test at ear height (sitting next to it) and the system makes 36dbA at idle and 46dbA at full noise. A few people asked a while ago and I didnt have a meter capable of going below 50dbA.. I bought the most expensive iphone App ive ever seen! Signal Scope Pro for $80. So there you have it.

Subjectively that means it sounds about twice as loud under full load compared to idle but it's actually pretty tolerable really!
Oh and it's barely liftable at 52Kgs!!!

Just found some recent testing of GTX 360 rads over at skinneelabs..

Looks like Im actually on the limit of my setup! I might have to go sub-ambient with a 1HP aquarium chiller to keep water temp at around 20c all year round.

The 4 GPUs are dumping somewhere around 380W each into the 3 rads, plus the 50W or so from the MB thats close to 1600W so its near the limit for decent noise level. (and 50W from pumps!)

The GTX360 rads are supposedly rated for ~500W @ 1700RPM with 10c delta
See test results here >>> http://skinneelabs.com/hwlabs-gtx360/3/#
