Hey Everyone,
Has anyone got any history on 7622 units running on GPU's? I got gifted a GT 430 yesterday from excess at work, so whacked it in an old box at home that only had a 9500GT in it and "thought" I had put in right and run the exe correctly, but after a little while I saw no update in the log file, so left it over night and this morning looked at the log file to see it was doing a smidge over 2 hours per frame and had only done 3 frames ![]() I took the advmethods flag off and deleted the work folder and restarted again for it pick up some other unit at 4 min frames, so will see when I get home whether it worked through that on to others, just that 2 hours seemed rather high to me. Any thoughts guys? Cheers

7622 is a newish project which is pushing the upper boundaries of GPU work unit size. None of my clients have ever picked one up so I can't offer a comparison frame time for you, but by it's description I'm not surprised a baby card choked on it.

Well that'll do it to ya everytime
....it defintiely choked it big time LoLThanks for the site, never knew that existed ![]() After being out of the game for years, it is funny trying to piece together all the new information out there and understand the new rules of engagement. I find it mind boggling that for some people, they can upload a finished job and get hundreds of thousands of points for it....I guess that is all that bigadv stuff people talk about...just think...8 years ago I struggled to get to 40,000 points by crunching thousands of WU's LMAO...times change...I sound like an ol' fart now ![]() Cheers S

Nice one for you to bookmark:
http://fah-web.stanford.edu/psummaryC.html That is all the publicly available work units + some beta units that you may end up with as well. You can look up each unit, which server it came from, which f@h admin runs it, and the part which was helpful this time, a description of the unit

Thanks EG, quite a list of units up for grabs
![]() Update ont he original topic, the card got another one of those 7622 units this morning and is doing 45 min frames ![]() It seems really weird, like the card is power managing itself...if you are active on the machine it has low frame times, but if you leave it alone for a while,t he frame times go up! I bumped the clock speeds up on the card earlier via the nVidia tool...hit apply and then went and viewed the "actual" in GPU-Z and it was reporting a clock that was 1/4 of the supposed set value ![]() Something very weird going on, other uses on evga and overclockers in the US report 4 to 6k a day, but at the moment this card only does a little under 2k... **pulls hair a little** Cheers S

Ah ok you're reverting to 2d mode by the sounds of it.
Have a crack at the solution in this thread: http://forums.overclockers.com.au/sh...ghlight=clocks Might take care of it for you.

It's true what they say then, you are an Evil Genius
![]() That fixed it thanks, I did a little searching, but I was looking specifically for the card number, not that it affected all cards ![]() I thought it may have been specific to the GT 430 since it was designed as a low power home theatre card, but not to worry...all good now. Got it set to 1650 for the shaders, will see how we go with that before upping it and maybe adding a little extra cooling to keep it at a reasonable level. Much appreciated EG Cheers S
