That was what I noticed out of the video as well.

He seems to have a lot of hate but he can't seem to describe his hate in any real meaningful way other than "they are fucking awful" and "owners are fucking novices" and he doesn't describe how or why they are terrible.

I find it interesting that he's complaining about the fact that the company uses ETA and Valjoux movements and classes them as bad when there's so many other companies which do the same... yet they're not equally as bad?

Dunno. Perhaps if he actually had any real substance to back up his stance then I might give him a bit of sway but as it is, I don't consider my watch to be entry level or sucky or awful at all. It's so far proving to be a wonderfully accurate timepiece and I like it.

He has a lot of videos if you go through his channel. There is one where he answers some viewer emails which he basically just abuses the guy who writes in asking about a watch he just bought.

There is another where he goes a bit crazy talking about trying to sell one of his Pateks

Just funny to listen to and mildly addictive

Just a heads up. Aldi have watch cases for $20 this week. My dresser looks a lot more organised now LINK

So has anyone seen the new Steinhart Nav-B Chrono DLC?

Linky

Don't know a lot about the movement, is the ETA Valjoux 7750 any good? I own a Nav. B-Uhr at the moment and I'm tossing up between using the black chrono as a replacement/addition to my Nav. B-Uhr.

Thoughts anyone?

I think he's like the people who hate Apple because they are so popular due to their marketing ability, just mindless hate..

For sure there are nicer watches, but man, he's taking it too far hah

Ahh, triffic!!
Mate at work and I were talking about who might be selling this sort of item locally on Friday - very handy timing (depending on looks and quality in RL!!).

He needs one to put his 25 y.o. Tag and his new Tag Calibre together with the Polar, the Longines and the Michael Hill ones he has.

I don't think I'll share the video link above with him, but fwiw I like the look of his old one and the new one

That's what I did.

Found one which he states a lot of stuff about himself and his watch choices in 3rd person persona.

He says he's a lawyer and essentially an ambulance chaser. Basically in my mind that's the worst sort of lawyer. "Personal Injury Specialists". Vultures. Strike one.

The boastful ways which he wrote that post about how he "saved" and "rescued" some watches and what he did with his first million. The attitude shown demonstrates snobbery and lowers more any particular sway his opinion might have towards me.
Strike two.

Now am I the only one thinking that if he's a lawyer and he comes out with that incredibly well reasoned argument of why TAG Heuer watches are bad he's an incredibly bad lawyer?
Strike three.

Not sure on this, but the logo and "Carrera" at 3 on the v2 - is that painted or an applied logo? From the looks of the pictures, the v2 is set a little higher up. My v3 looks like it's an applied logo and set a little lower down - more centred in the space at 3.

I quite like the clean and not too busy design of this 1887. I can't talk about it's accuracy but so far, after one day of wearing it, it seems to be about +2 seconds fast. I'll keep an eye on it over the next several weeks to see how it goes.
I like the raised logo in V3 but I like the swirls in the two inner circles of the V3. I also like the bezel of the V2 but the V3 is not too bad.

Hard decisions...

Hey Tomee, any chance that you have a NATO strap that is one size larger than that (22mm) and can post some pics with it on. Seriously considering that watch, however, already have an SKX007 which has 22mm lugs, and really don't want to fork out extra for another strap (of the same). Just wondering how squashed it looks, whether it will work etc.

Grazie - The Lurker...
