No no, a pretty and "new" looking panerai strap isn't the way to go, sweat stained, patinaed, surface cracked from elemental exposure is the way to get the Risti "look" and creds!

Prestige Time is a grey-market dealer for Breitling which is why you see it cheaper. However this isn't to say that authorised dealers aren't able to discount down towards those levels as well. Grey market sales don't come with the manufacturer's warranty.

I think Prestige Time may also be an online-only seller. Authentic Watches is also an online-only grey-market seller.

Breitling's dealers in the LA area are off their website:
http://www.breitling.com/en/retailer...breitling-1237

If I'm spending this amount of money, I'd prefer to get the goods on the exchange of my money. I'll buy only from a brick and mortar shop. They're mostly able to discount down to a similar price to these online-only grey dealers and I have a few hundred dollars difference which I'm able to live with for that peace of mind.

Just brought myself a Oris Divers Titan 'C' Small Second, Date

Fits my wrist very nicely and the titanium case etc makes it comfortable to wear daily.

Replacing my old Seiko seen here: http://forums.overclockers.com.au/sh...&postcount=565

Quick and dirty photo ... the newest addition (Panerai Radiomir Black Seal picked up recently in Sydney) with the PO XL and Meistersinger No 3. Ignore the times, been wearing the PO this week so the others are not set. The Panerai was closet to the camera so looks a bit bigger than what it really is (but it is big). The PO is 45mm ....

Has anyone had trouble importing watch straps from the US?

Laco is more accurate and very well priced. I own one. Great watch, but due to the sandblasted case it's not very dressy - more a casual watch.

Which one do you have?

What about vs Stowa?
Different price range I know.

Holy jesus - I haven't been on the Laco site in ages.

My receipt says 1.00 x Pilot 42 Type B hand winding 861695 411,76 EUR

Closest match on the website is https://shop.laco.de/en/Leipzig.html for 850,00 EUR!!

I'm sorry but I don't know if I'd actually recommend the Laco anymore, I didn't realise. It's a great watch but not worth $1,000.

If you can afford a Stowa - great quality, can be a bit of a wait though, and not particularly true to the historic watches due to the curved luggs and polished cases.

Wow. Nice watch!

Don't particularly mind waiting. I'm going to buy it for myself as a finishing PhD present.

It's not going to be particularly true to original anyway - want a date display.

Really love the Stowa Marine! Have decided that I want lume in the daily wear. Maybe for the next excuse to celebrate...
