That's my speciality mate! No one does it as good as me! Except maybe Nigel Mansell.

Im pretty flexible to go with whatever you guys decide... i agree we will always have fast guys, and not so fast guys (and no so fast girlfriends) but my only suggestion that i feel strongly about is: that the track is not announced until the night of the race... i think above all else this will be the best leveler for season 3. Everyone gets the same amount of practice, and i think we'll be surprised how it effective it can be at closing the gap.

Have we decided on a night yet? :-)

I like this idea, people are saying the fast guys will be fast still, but the gap will be closer because there will be a more level playing field.
Not being able to set up the car will make a huge difference to ultimate performance.
If you know how to set up a car then you have an advantage, you will be able to tweak the car to how you like it, maybe dial in some steering or rear grip, but the guys who don't know are stuck with a stock handling car anyway.
This is definitely worth a try, this week for sure.

Not having played gt5 for a long time i really struggled to stay on the track, i kept trying different settings which resulted in too much understeer or a slippery rear end coupled with with tyres that barely lasted a few laps, was a shocked of a first night for me. . .

I am in no way competitive for GT5 or even have a steering wheel but this sounds like fun.

Is this for casuals or only people who are really keen? Do you have to race every week?

At the moment I would say you would be fine to join as the entries look a little thin at the moment. We would prefer to have people in for the whole season though as there is points for a championship on offer. Join in, you may find you have enough fun to race the whole season.

It's something we want to try. I do think it will only be a top 5 shootout though as to do any more would take too long.

I can only race on Tuesday nights.

I started GT5 up yesterday but didn't even play it because it had like 2gb of updates to do lol.

Is a steering wheel required?

Pretty much need a wheel, all of the regular drivers from the first 2 series use wheels.
There is no way you can be competitive without one.
We had to turn off traction control because Rusty wouldn't stop using it...

I might put up a public server tonight for some tyre testing for untuned rules. Everyone is welcome to join. Hopefully might get some randoms to beat up on too.

If you new guys want to join in friend me with a message stating you are OCAU. If you have mic's that would also make comm's easier.

You're supposed to shorten their chain so they can only go from Kitchen to Laundry and not bother you on the PC or PS3.

I'll jump on after I put the wife away. (I mean to bed...)
