Default War of the Roses

For the fans of Mount & Blade: Warband out there Paradox are creating a new game called 'War of the Roses'.

It's supposedly their biggest budgeted game to date with focus on multiplayer and player progression (for anyone who plays Warband I'm hoping this will be a Warband + cRPG mod + better graphics game).

Couple of things I have heard so far is you go into wounded mode where you're on the ground or on your knee or something and you can still look around but not fight and you can then either be helped up by a friendly or an enemy can perform a finishing move on you.

Another thing thats different to Warband is the longer you hold your swing down the more damage you will do with it.

Here is a preview from Rock Paper Shotgun: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012...-of-the-roses/

And here are some videos from Game Trailers: http://www.gametrailers.com/game/war-of-the-roses/15369

Angry Joe vid (I haven't watched this yet): http://www.blisteredthumbs.net/2012/...ses-interview/

This is very early stuff I think the game is set to release late 2012.

I am a huge Warband fan - it's probably my favourite game ever made and I can't wait for War of the Roses to release!

Just so there's no confusion for anyone that hasn't heard of the game yet: this is from the developers of Lead and Gold, not Mount and Blade.

Oh yes sorry 'Fatshark' are developing it.

I thought Lead and Gold was a solid game but not enough people playing it and lacked a little depth.

I just read that they hired one of the dev's from the Mount and Blade: Warband team.

This is looking good.

Yep can't wait.

I just wish they mixed this game with Planetside 2 so it was a persistent world but maybe next year.

Beta Signups are on now.
Signup here, then get your own link to pass on to other people (post in here I guess?).
NO

Basically the idea is, sign up, get your link and pass on, once 5 others have signed on using your link you get access to the Beta when ever its out (Alpha has just passed so I dont think its far off at all).

Sign up, then come back and post your links
To anyone following this, maybe try signing up to the last links you can find (or last set of) in the thread so one guy doesnt get 50 and everyone else none lol.
