not sure if I need to change pre-amp on poweramp. But I just find it amusing how the stock player in normal mode has more oomph
Interesting... Does Poweramp have that 'Limit' option enabled? I noticed a drop in quality when that was enabled (think it's on by default), this was on my GNex though...

I am using doubleTwist, but might just switch to the stock music player:

1. Found no difference in sound quality
2. Interface on doubleTwist is a little better, but stock music player shows audio controls in the notification area, which doubleTwist doesn't.

Poweramp gives you the now playing cover and name, next track and pause/play in the notification bar.

Winamp does the same. It has a pro and a free version.

Hey Guys,
This is most likely a stupid question. But how do I get music from a CD onto the SGS3? Can it be done via Kies? Or do I need to rip the music with something first?

When you plug your gs3 in to your computer you should be able to just drag and drop from cd to music folder in your mass storage. Someone can correct me if im wrong.

Just salary sacrificed an S3, replaces the S2 from work I'd been using which replaced my SGS which was painfully slow and kept needing new firmware reflashed. Cant wait...

Been playing with poweramp, and wow it is impressive.

Crossfade (adjusted to 10 seconds), lockscreen, the widget with transparency that is actually not ugly and looks good. I think i'll have to purchase this The layout for music navigation is a tad clumsy but other than that it's great!

Yup it's well worth the money, by far the best music player out there. My only gripe is getting back to artist/album from the now playing screen is a little clumsy (as you say)... Still by far the best!

I'm also on the PowerAmp train except that if you're playing something, you pull it down from the notifications and pause it then disappears from there so to start playing again you need to go back to the app and hit play.
