Just noticed that too. Minor bug I guess.

I have to say it, who cares - VLC is overrated on the desktop and like the Android version of Firefox which sucks VLC for android is a non-event when you can just use something else like MX Player combined with gmote.

some truth to that.

however as it stands on desktop (in particular macOS) VLC is the only reliable player for hi10p content (time will change this though).

some people may be interested in having VLC available cross platform, but most will use whatever player works for them (myself included).

Go suck a big one Apple...

Droid-Life

Quote:
Shortly after Samsung announced Galaxy SIII availability in the U.S., Apple filed to amend an injunction of theirs against the Korean phone maker. They were hoping to stop the launch of the device which most carriers were expecting to release on June 21.

Judge Lucy Koh, who is overseeing the case that Apple was hoping to add the Galaxy SIII to, decided that this move would be too much and essentially told them they would have to wait. Apparently her calendar was busy enough, and trying to get this block done by June 21 would be too much for her to handle.

More traction for Android is always good news and no iphone announcement at the WWDC makes this even better.

From memory on my S2 I had to enable the device as a USB storage device before it would show up as a drive in windows. I assume it is the same with the S3

It's not. The SGS3 isn't mounted a storage drive, it's a proper MTP device now.

When I dragged some videos to it last night, it was telling me they were outside of the spec for the phone and would I like to convert them. I told it no, fuck off, and copied anyway. Then just used Diceplayer for my 720p mkv video files.

I was mainly checking to see if killa-sample would kill the phone.

Anyone with a I9300T (Telstra and some vodafone models) get the following message when connected to Kies? "Your device does not support software upgrading via Kies" Any ideas (aside from rooting) to fix this?

Mine is a vf model and yes i get that. Not sure whether it is important as Kies is a piece of shit and the updates may be pushed out over the air. Also, it may be fixed by an update to Kies.

The largest failing in the Samsung/Android system is Kies in my opinion.
Kies reminds me of some programmer starting with Odin as a base, then having their manager say "can't you make it more windows like? And they did...
