Lightbulb Ravaged

Some info on 2 Dawn and Ravaged:

2 Dawn:

Established in 2009, 2 Dawn is dead set on bringing the fun back to games.
Our team is made up of passionate gamers with AAA game development experience.
We have worked on titles such as Battlefield, DesertCombat, Frontlines and more, but now we are ready to break some rules and make some games that bring the community together for some laugh out loud experiences.

Our focus is on online core gaming that requires skill, teamwork and diapers because you are going to piss your pants.
Join our forums, sign up for beta and lets begin the ride together.

Ravaged the game:

Ravaged is a first person shooter online multiplayer game set upon a post-apocalyptic earth devastated by natural disasters caused by the sun's solar flares. It chronicles the struggle between the “Resistance” and the “Scavengers” as they fight one another in order to gain an upper hand in an ongoing war for survival, territory and resources.

In general, the Scavengers are an outnumbering, oppressive, murdering group of lawless criminals that wish to claim all land and resources for themselves. They will stop at nothing in order to accomplish their goal.

The Resistance is a group of resistance fighters hell bent on restoring civilization. These civilians were able to seek shelter as the world succumbed to natural disasters during the year 2012, taking with them precious goods and weapons while the criminals and less fortunate lived off the land.

Ravaged is an action game. Furthermore it is a multiplayer only First Person Shooter with Vehicles, Team Objectives, and skill based gameplay.

The team behind Ravaged worked on titles such as the Desert Combat, Battlefield 2, Frontlines and more.

We are developers with AAA game experience that wanted to create a team based game that requires skill and over the top fun.
Ravaged is currently in developing and will be in Beta early 2012, releasing on PC in spring 2012 via Steam and other PC distribution methods.

There's still a lot which is in progress (bug reporting here and suggestions here). For example, In addition to bugs and polish, we're working on adding the attached moving base, which is going to be pretty over the top and a unique vehicle in FPS gaming.

The best time to play is Sundays at 1PM EDT or 7PM EDT (that's when the devs play with the community). The other official community playtests are Wednesdays and Fridays (also at 1PM & 7PM EDT).

The dev team is on TeamSpeak a lot:

Beta seems to be going well and will last around 2 months for an expected release in September.

Kotaku seem quite impressed.

Apart from being able to flip someone off and swear ingame, how is this any different to games like Rage, Brink, BF? I dont see the 'fun' aspect ?

Gyrocopter is all kinds of awesomeness alone. For me the fun factor is actually some good old fashioned CTF action again.

Though this looks interesting too.

Once retail is released so will be the dedicated server files, free for anyone to run, so there will be plenty of servers.

I have a few spare beta keys for this if anyone is interested in helping out with the testing.

You need a Steam Account, and then just activate product on Steam like usual.

First in best dressed, just PM me for a key.
