The filter holders he has, however the filters might be a bit harder to get. Just go in and speak with Geoff. He is a lovely bloke.

I started with a Lee Schneider True-Match Vari-ND kit. I think its the best of the lot. I bought direct from ScheiderOptics.com. Expensive
https://www.schneideroptics.com/Ecom...D=466&IID=8088 Look around, Schneider had them on special and I have seen them on special elsewhere. I think they are the best and have lots of intermediate steps I paid dearly for. I later added soft and hard HiTech Grad Filters. I thought the soft would be best but I find that I use the hard more. The Lee holder is much better than the Cokin, I have a Cokin outfit I never use. Last edited by DVDHack; 9th March 2012 at 6:58 AM. |

I started with the Cokin Z-holder setup. It probably would have been ok for most filters, however, my first filter was the Lee Big Stopper and there was too much light leakage. So I changed to Lee Holders and never looked back.
My passion lies with seascapes. My first ND Grad filter was the Lee 0.9 soft grad. Later I bought the Lee 0.6 hard grad which I often use to augment the 0.9 soft grad. Then I got a Heliopan polarizing filter and the filter thread to attach in front of the Lee filter holder. Recently I bough a Hi-tech reverse grad but I don't like the purple colour cast it introduces. I have 77,72 wide angle adapters and standard 52 and 58 adapters which are a little cheaper. So I can use especially the polarizer with all my lenses. I got my filters from teamwork: http://teamworkphoto.com/shop/index....047_78_769_283 |

Quick update on this topic, rather than starting a new thread...
I ordered a Big Stopper from Vanbar a few weeks ago, placed in the backorder queue, one of 47 in the same queue. No indication as to when it would arrive, but I got an email this morning saying my payment had been processed so I shot them a quick email to confirm and yes, they have them in stock and my shiny new Big Stopper is being dispatched today. I can't confirm they have more than their requirement in stock, and their website is still showing backorder, but if anyone is chasing one it might be worth asking them today. The Big Stopper will be the last Lee purchase I make for a while... in the last month I have switched to Lee filters (from Cokin P series) and my kit now includes Foundation Kit, 77mm Wide-Angle Adaptor, ND Soft grad in 2, 3 and 4 stop configurations (4 stop rocks!) and now the Big Stopper. On holidays next week so time to try them out! As a side note, I purchased my grads from a UK based eBay seller who provided great service and really quick delivery, about 4-5 days from purchase to my door. If anyone is interested in a link to the sellers store hit me up.

Vanbar has just received a Lee order.
I would *strongly* recommend anyone who wants any Lee stuff go and place an order right now... |

eBay store name is '41-42 Foley Street London W1W' Link to their Lee filters page here They have some individual filters for sale and some 2 filter sets... they didn't have the specific set I wanted so I purchased one close to and asked for exactly what I wanted and they sent it. (Purchased 0.6 hard and 0.9 soft but wanted 0.6 soft and 0.9 soft, added a comment, they sent no fuss). I also purchased 2 listings, each with their own postage, so they combined postage and refunded the postage of one without being prompted. Good eBay seller really.

I might have a look at the ebay seller as I'd be interested in getting some soft grads I think. I don't know....I probably won't get them for a while...if at all. |

I can confirm that they do have an actual retail shopfront, have cupboards full of filters and racks of equpment. From what they have stocked in there it looks like they specialise in medium to large format equipment. Pretty helpful every time I went in. |

If people want to support the economy that's great, but if you rather pay only $130 for your big stopper you are better off going to the Teamwork site... |

I use Linhof Studio in the UK as a source of Lee Filters gear. They have stock of filters (incl the Big Stopper) and holders and postage is quick and relatively cheap to Australia.

(sorry for the hectic thread bump guiz - figured i'd post here instead of creating a new thread).
Looking at getting a lee filter system, what GND's would you guys suggest getting? Some combination of 0.6 and 0.9 hard and soft? I'm not sure what combination to go with? Just as a test, I priced up: Foundation Kit 77mm Wide Angle Adapter 0.6 Soft 0.9 Hard Big Stopper Ended up being ~$480 from teamworkphoto and ~$600 from mediavision..... Thoughts?
