My post is about using the box to ship the drives overseas, not to the seagate RMA centre. If you dont need the box I am happy to take it off your hands.

I have RMA'd a few drives with Seagate and they have all been returned within 10 days from the time i posted them. For this reason, i now only buy Seagate drives. Actually thats not the only reason. I have had drives go missing when returning them to other hard drive companies that require over seas RMA's. You know the one... people think they are great but not from my experience.

As for the packaging... if you have any of the Seagate clam shells, they are fine. I have sent drives to Seagate, individually wrapped in bubble wrap and boxed. They were fine with it.
The reason they want to drives returned in as good a shape as possible is because they recondition them and use them to replace faulty drives.

Wow, that is an excellent turn around time. I've never had to rma a seagate drive but that would make me think about more of them when the time comes.

I had a similar speed of turn-around. I dropped the drives off Thursday afternoon and I had a courier attempted delivery note in my letterbox two Mondays afterwards. I called them straight away to arrange pickup/ avoid them trying to deliver it a second time as couriers never go well with my unit block. Very hit & miss unfortunately.
