Default Retro hardware give-away thread

Ok, here are the rules which although most are slightly obvious, I think are fair.

1) First come first served, unless it's too big, too tricky or too much effort (you're a lazy arse) to post.

2) If the intended hardware recipient is able to pick the gear up, then it's free. They are doing you a favour to help you get rid of crap. If the recipient is interstate, then as this is a give-away thread, it is fair that they ONLY pay for postage costs.

3) If you post, remember the static bags and correct packing. I've had parcels crushed and sometimes decent packing can make a difference.

4) Please don't go offloading your known to be broken crap here, especially if it is via post. That isn't fair on the recipient whom paid for the privilege of binning your junk. If it is suspect OR if it's not been used/tested for a number of years, please mention it as hardware decay does happen.

5) Method of payment is up to you two to negotiate. Money order, direct deposit, paypal, whatever, this is an agreement between the buyer and seller and ocau is just being used as a means of communication between recipient/offloader, yadda yadda yadda.

6) Please keep your adverts up to date & remove / strikeout anything that goes.

And yeah I've gotten Agg's ok for this thread.

I would be interested in the two 2.1GB hard drives.

With the Model M that's missing bits, would I be able to grab the space bar's stabilizer (the wire thing under the spacebar?) as I have an otherwise complete Model M but that wire bit is missing so the space bar is very wobbly and needs to be hit dead centre to register a keystroke. Maybe take a photo if possible...

I have some bits to add to this but I need to sort out what I've got first...

Hard drives, no worries, just let me format them first (requires a bit of mucking about on my part).

Model M Keyboard wire, I could do that, but was hoping to keep it intact as aside from key covers all it needs is this, or a spring from a pen. As an alternative, if i get hold of the right gauge piano wire from a hobby store (I have a micrometer so could get the exact thickness required), I could use the current wire as a template and bend up a replacement for you at cost. Thoughts?

Where are you located?

I'm just after a serial mouse pretty much (or is it a trackball?). Wouldn't mind some of that RAM either.

Honestly, I think you should sell those Model M's. I reckon you would get $100+ for the pair of them on eBay.

That would be great - doesn't matter if its not genuine, I just want the spacebar to work properly

I'm in Arncliffe, pm me for my number & we can sort out the rest.

As to the M's, I might take your suggestion and run with it after making the part up.

This weekend is fine, depends what kazimatz wants first. If you both want 72pin I can split it roughly into equal portions.

So kazimatiz, any ram preference?
Kevlarman , deal. PM me for contact info. Those whom want stuff, aside from publically requesting the bits, please PM me so we can sort out pickup/postage/whatever eventuates.

As to the second Model M, I've changed my mind and am keeping the other. I can get spares online/piecemeal. (Still doing the key spacer when i can)

Oh and feel free for anyone to list their crap^H^H^H^Hstuff here too.

Sorry for the slow reply. I've got a fair bit of EDO already so perhaps if I could just get a matched pair of 16MB sticks Wizard2K can have the rest.

Those 512MB SD sticks would be good to service my Tualatin and iMac so I'd like to take them please. Also could I get dibs on the Bigfoot?

Will send you a PM now
