I've still got a bag of 10base2 ethernet cards/cables/junctions etc which I can give away.

Also have a box of Amiga 1000 parts (plastics etc) and an almost complete system in poor condition, missing CPU and needs new Denise chip. No keyboards or mice. Would prefer pickup only for this one.

I'm also selling more stuff on ebay, check it out

I tried this in the FS forum with interest but no takers in the end...

For free is my A500 + Power supply + 1084S-D1 monitor + Mouse + all cables, all in great condition.

I have about 50 or so games (many pirated/cracked/unique) for it, and these date back to my childhood. These are priceless to me. I need to keep these.

I also have two identical (new) joysticks, but I intend on keeping them (and they were pretty cheap on eBay).

What I'm after is all of my disk games ripped to ADF/WHD, tested and usb converters for my joysticks in return for the hardware.

I've dabbled in WinUAE before, but don't quite 'get' a lot of it (including WHD). Basically I just want a solution that works with all of my games, as it does now with the original hardware.

I'm surprised no one took you up on that offer. I'd do it if you can ship to Melbourne for $25 (you can keep the monitor). Alternately, I have a friend in Sydney with an Amiga 600 who could transfer them but he'd need guidance.

What games are they? I have a shed load of roms for the Amiga.

RS232 to USB adapters are around $20-$40.

I'd love to take you up on the offer, but if it means a lot to you, you may hate yourself later for getting rid of it.

I never had an Amiga 500 personally, but my best mate who is no longer of this earth, did and I have a lot of fond memories around the Amiga500.

PM if you like and I'll see if I have the adf files you are after.

I would prefer local to save the hassle of posting and to meet the person, but I already have a person in the queue for when/if I go down that road.

I would be able to find the games without a problem, but a lot of trainers/cracks which were just part of the memory. I've tried Amiga emulation before but it fell short because of this (not the cheats themselves, but the intro screens were sometimes amazing and some are just burnt into my memory).

So with a RS232 to USB converter would I be able to use the Amiga drive and Amiga Explorer (or otherwise) to transfer to my PC? I would love to keep it and do it myself, but the last time I looked at the process it was all too hard/expensive.

I used transdisk (comes with WinUAE) to make the ADFs and paradise (ami parallel transfer app) to send to pc via hyperterm XP.

The hardest part is making the cable and getting the paradise exe on floppy (transfer it by serial+null modem using a comms app with z-modem).
DMS (diskmasher) helps to compress the adfs and xdms on pc to unpack.

If you need any of these apps let me know.

Default Random 486 boards

Guy and girls, I have some random 486 boards here if anyone's interested - pickup is from Preston (3072). I'm not interested in posting them - can't be arsed.

2 VLB boards, both have signs of battery leakage but I'm confident they work, I wouldn't have kept them otherwise. They've been sitting in my shed for a while but I usually remove the battery, clean them up and then test them.

1 ISA board - this thing's a bit of a mystery as it has onboard IDE. Rare for a pre-PCI board. I've never tested it, but it looks solid.

The ISA board has an SX20 in it, the OPTi board has an AMD DX40 and 4 MB RAM, and the UMC board has a DX266 with 8 MB RAM in it.

No? Can't give 'em away?

What if I throw in a VLB VGA card, VLB IO card, and a HDD?

None of those happen to be IBM monitors (as in IBM branded)?
