Review

This is the one that was 'overclockable' up to 97hz, depending on when it was manufactured:

A = January
B = February
C = March

The screens with a 2B serial were overclockable, but everyone who has received a 2C serial unit thus far has reported this is no longer the case. Apparently the manufacturer swapped to a different, seemingly inferior control board in March. The ebay sellers are most likely sold out of 2Bs at this stage.

Review

Has a metal housing and the QH270 LED-P has an adjustable, rotatable stand (this is the one I've bought). Marginally higher response time than the others for some reason (see response time graph below).

The review rates it as marginally better than the other panels in terms of contrast ratio, gamma and response time. It's only just been listed on ebay so I don't think anyone actually has any hands on experience with one yet.

A fifth model has just been listed on ebay:

First Semiconductor FSM-270HJ

It's meant to be built on the same panel as the others but not much seems to be known about it yet.

There's couple of similarly priced models floating around from Korean eBay sellers but the Catleap seems to have gained the most attention due to the refresh rate and and apparently higher quality stand.

And that's ~$352 shipped, down from $400 just a week ago.

What does this mean?

"All the Catleap monitors seem to hit 85hz+ (97hz 100hz being the highest so far, which is the GPU's limit at this resolution), while my Achieva can't go above 70hz."

I didn't think desktop resolution/refresh rate was limited by the GPU for some time...like maybe a TNT2 or something? Or by GPU do they mean something else?

Also it's not clear if it does 1440p @ 85KHz+ or not.

Its something to do with the video cards ability to run higher pixel clocks, AMD is limited to 330mhz (?) and can run a max of 85hz at native res on those displays, Nv can do 100hz apparently.

Haha. Up to 10 before it's considered defective according to the Korean standard it seems although people in the OCN thread have been getting a lot less, if at all. Apparently one of the sellers is offering to check for an additional $60 though it becomes a bit less good of a deal at that point.
