Just wondering if someone can confirm something for me as on the compatibility list for video cards it lists the GT460 as one of the compatible video cards for the panel, is this meant to be GTX460 because I can't seem to find a GT460 anywhere and just want to make sure that it'll work with my GTX460 before ordering...

cheers

Should work fine with your card.

What im interested in is if the monitor goes to standby if no input is connected for a while, and how long it takes to turn on. Anyone?

No such thing as something being "worth it" if its the cheapest option available

Hey guys.

Do these work with the DVI on the 785/880/970 AMD mobos? It says they are dual link.

Would be quiet handy if you have an AMD system. One connected to your DVI onboard one connected to your 7850. I would only use one for gaming, but save having to buy a DP to DVI adapter.

Turn on from scratch = ~2.5 seconds
Resume when input comes back* = ~5 seconds

*this includes waking from monitor sleep or from resuming signal, not full system sleep.

So it's not fast, but it's not overly slow. Part of the wake up could be OS related. Once it's on, it's good to go straight away. No warming up or cooling down when turning off.

For the monitor sleep, once you turn the PC off or Windows turns off the display, the light on the screen turns red and flashes on and off (about a second each state) while in sleep mode. The light is dull enough that it doesn't bother me at all, even though I sleep in view of the light. As there is no OSD, you don't get a "no input signal" message, it just turns of the panel straight off.

Hope I could help.

I will find out for you within the next 24 hours, when I get a chance to reboot and change to onboard first in the BIOS.
I have a 785G chipset.

Are the 120hz q270's with the 2b boards out yet? Only thing that's stopped me moving to 1440p is the lack of a high refresh rate, low input lag screen and this looks like it might be both. Trigger finger is getting itchy but I've heard conflicting reports on if they're out and I don't feel like buying one of the couple I've see on ebay atm if they're fake.

i think im gonna sell my catleap, over it. 120hz 1080p is better, i'd even rather surround in 120hz!

the response time is pathetic on catleap compred to a proper gaming monitor. i've seen side by side! big diff! can't play on this thing!

From what I understand, the ones on ebay will most likely be the Multi Input ones, which have that extra input lag.. but people seem to think they are the 2B models that can be overclocked...

120hz.net are selling over 100 120hz Catleaps, not too sure of the details, trying to make sense of it from this post: http://120hz.net/content.php?119-Yam...le-Information

Also they're still in talks about manufacturing the 2B PCBs, say by mid july they will have all of the details.

Yeah the ebay ones look like mutli with 2b boards now i look at it. Already read 120hz.net site before i posted so I'll probably wait until July for some dust to settle so I have a better idea of input lag etc. I don't mind suffering sh**t colours or a lower res as long the monitor I use has very low input lag and a high refresh rate. I know some ppl can't notice quite a lot of input lag, but even small amounts I've always been irritated by.

Hi all, I am very interested in purchasing this monitor with the single DVI-D input. However I want to double check before I make the purchase. I wish to use this with my notebook which has both VGA and HDMI output. If I were to get a HDMI to DVI dongle, will it work with my laptop? Also, in the same situation, will it work with my PS3?

Thanks

You are probably the first guy I have seen that prefers his old screen, you reckon a Samsung 120hz 27" would be better for gaming?
