Can't do it - that metal housing holds the panel in, light, etc.

Don't care - if I had stuffed it up, I'd buy more screens. I have a Samsung S27A950D sitting next to this setup, totally unused atm. Warranty/re-sell value mean nothing to me with screens.

It is a huge difference, few centimetres each side

Thanks for doing this writeup anthony256, looks great and has me tempted to try it some time.
^ this. Hit the nail on the head.

Also, cheers! <3

No!!.
Well i tell you anyway..

I put the middle monitors kinda behind the two side monitors and it cuts off alot of the bezel, easy as pie!.

It doesn't hold it in, it just protects it. Ive pulled apart dozens of monitors back in the day when combining an LCD monitor with an overhead projector got you a data projector for under 10k.

Having the metal there just looks like a half assed job.
BTW UN-clipping that ribbon cable takes a second and would be far preferable than risking tearing it while sawing. The ribbon

That's not what your gf says

I'd have to see in person, just doesn't seem like it's really worth it.

I wonder what the least reward for effort has even been, this would have to be right up there.

Anthony256, now that you have silver bezels instead of black, does that affect how distracting it is?

I think people downplay the importance that small reductions in the gap will make in multi screen gaming.

Im surprised to hear the metal surrounds are hot to the touch. These screens must suck a bit of juice if that's the case?

Certainly looks better than the wonky bezel that they put on to begin with.

Silver Bezels would probably be better, as they would reflect some of the light coming off the screens, kinda blurring them into the image rather than having just black strips, would make them even less noticeable.
