it's over 2 metres of gaming bliss... You do need to sit back about a metre or so, but pretty much all of your vision and peripheral vision is taken up by gaming screen. On my S27's, i get about 9mm of bezel width..

It's not impractical, wrong choice of words, but I find withouot 3D active gaming is much smoother and easier. I did however like surround by itself, but you need the horsepower. And FPS games you need to use that mod to fix the interface otherwise looking to your left or right screen for the map is a total pain in the ass, but that's fixable.

I guess I'm just not a big fan of 3D gaming mostly, even at full framerates. I can game better when it's off, worse when it's on (does look amazing though).

It's horses for courses .. I really only like to play single player simulators/FPSs.. So for me, I like to have it as real as it can get. Whilst gameplay is important, immersion is more important to me. I like looking around a cockpit/dashboard and seeing all the funky buttons and dials and with a single flat 2D screen all of that is lost. It's probably cost me a small fortune but it's either go hard or go home, there is no halfway point.

That said, there are a small number of niggly technical issues surrounding eyefinity 3D gaming on a samsung monitor, but it's not deal breaking. I'd rather put up with these small issues than playing, for all intents and purposes, console games on a PC screen.

PCs are meant to be customised and expanded upon, that's why we like 30" screens, 120hz screens, 3D, 500fps, motion tracking or whatever else tickles your fancy..

Well I will say the immersion side is definitely awesome. I had BenQ's I didn't really have any technical issues. I will say though if the nvidia 3dvision 2 is better than the original in terms of brightness, that could a hell of a lot better!

Default 3 x 30 is great

I have 3 monitors its great for games. Need good video card, even a 6990 struggles on some games at 7680 x 1600. Also great when multitasking, watch a video on one screen, emails on another, spreadsheets etc on the third.

That's great news, I was a little concerned because I have 3x U2711's and only a GTX590. My monitor's have a lower resolution

That was my main gripe with "original" 3d vision, the display/glasses were too dark. 3dvision2 with light boost is easily double the brightness, and thus far better, practically as bright and vibrant as 2D.
