Burger Foundry is pretty good, nice size and plenty of filling.

I think the beef burger at the Palais (semaphore) trumps any other burger i've had so far.

Well there you go....SA's best burger is from the Alma. Anyone tried it?

Another good one is:

Relish'd Burger Bar

730 Anzac Hwy, Glenelg, SA 5045

FaceBook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Relish...36613639690324
UrbanSpoon: http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/336/1709...er-Bar-Glenelg

There also appears to be a new one that I have been told is good:

Burgastronomy

19 O'Connell Street, North Adelaide, South Australia 5006

FaceBook: http://en-gb.facebook.com/pages/Burg...86999691390134

I also didn't realise that Enuf Burger Bar had a Brighton (and much better location) store too:

2/83 Jetty Road, Brighton, South Australia, Australia 5048

FaceBook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Enuf-...17100111749903

The burgers from the Alma have always been pretty good (been going there since the mid 90s when from memory this place was called "The Cog" and their burger was known as "The Cog Burger").

The last one I had was a few months ago and it's still good, but I think some of the other places (i.e. Enuf/Fancy/Relish'd) make a better burger these days.

Just went to Burgastronomy yesterday.

A bit bland, not bad patty, needs improvement I think - especially with the bun selection. If you like home-style burgers without much taste, this is nice

quick review here:

I went to Fancy Burger a few days after they opened being a Blackwood native, I was pretty impressed and I can only assume they've gotten better.
I've been to Enuf Burger Bar a few times, but I haven't been back since I got an undercooked patty and they offered another in it's place, tbh I wouldn't want another with a risk of food poisoning.

I haven't had the chance to go to Burger Foundry or Burger Theory, BT mainly due me not being in the city at their open times or I'm driving past.

It's also worth checking out these guys http://burgermeadelaide.wordpress.com/

They've been ticking along slowly but not a lot of talk from them in the twitterverse.

Would just like to throw the Cumby's new burger menu into the thread, too. Not the best by a long shot, but it's a solid effort - the food there has improved significantly of late. I consider it a true burger, rather than something that's 2 feet tall and needs a skewer through the middle to hold the thing together.

I've only tried the cheeseburger thus far. Nicely prepared and appropriately cooked patty, bun reminds me a bit of burger theory with the somewhat glazed exterior.

Be sure to try with a side of the onion rings - they're amlost better than the burger itself

EDIT: Shame that the pub itself has turned into a popped collar/skanksville scene.

New Fancy Burger opening up in the CBD somewhere, saw an ad on seek a few weeks ago!

Next Generation Chicken/Beef burgers are awesome. I reckon they have the best chips ever as well! Pitty you need to be a club member to get into the cafe though, but if you ever have a chance to visit, highly recommend trying the burger!

I tried burgerit on the weekend. Not gourmet but not bad, until I found the meat undercooked.

SOO many burger places, and so many pubs now are promoting burgers...

this will keep my busy - still doing the second round of Adelaide burgers roundup. I recon there'll be a 3rd even by the rate this is going at.

Great thread everyone. Keep the names coming! - I'm putting these all down on my list.

I've heard the Burgers (and chips) are Next Gen are brilliant.

New FancyBurger is off of Rundle, I think.
