Default ATI 6450 HDMI no video output

Hi,

I am trying to get my HTPC (HP Microserver N40L with 6450 low profile) to display on my TV. I can boot the PC up, remote login through VNC on another computer and all display properties say 1920x1080 and Sony HDTV is working, but I have no video.

When the PC boots I can't see the post/bios screens at all. However when I plug a DVI-HDMI converter in to the PC end DVI works no problems and TV detects the PC as a source.

I've tried another TV. DVI works fine with any monitor (or the DVI-HDMI converter).

I have a feeling my video card is faulty, any suggestions?

P.S all drivers up to date/tried install/reinstalling.
