'Amazing' is rarely a word I would use to describe any model railway.
There are, however, other words that may get strewn in to nearby sentences. There is a point at which the level of detail involved in creating is somewhat inversely proportional to the praise or insults raised.

Well I can use other adjectives but some just are amazing. This airport takes things to a whole different level.

Was just impressive up until I saw the planes actually take off and land and the simulated night as well.

Definitely not just the level of detail but the animation makes it a step beyond.

plane taking off animation? thought it was the actual aircraft model that was being lifted and pushed or is pulled into that hole in the wall?

Something being animated doesn't mean it's on some 2D medium.

Like you're probably animated now moving a mouse and breathing on a chair.

You can't see from the compression artefacts in the video but there are two support sticks that attach to the front and rear of the aircraft when they line up on the runway, There is a slot in the runway that opens and closes as the sticks travel down it.

Its a work of art to look at, but the technology behind it is equally impressive.

Saw this video about a year ago. All the land vehicles and plane taxing is computer controlled magnets underneath, and thin poles attach underneath for takeoff / landing... insane stuff.

It cost millions of euros to build.

The planes land and take off by little poles that are hard to see, and then driven around by batteries and electric motors on the ground for taxing. Its an amazing setup, just do not repeat my mistakes and forget the CF card and go on school holidays - the parents are worse than the kids.

I was there is September last year and it is a MUST to see if you are every in Hamburg or just Germany. It isn't just the airport but the level of detail in every little bit of the entire layout. It is just a part of the much larger Miniature Wonderland.
