Um 1GB of ram is plenty for a phone..

You guys should do some reading how android uses ram..

Also, the Samsung Galaxy SIII is out selling the OneXL 3:1..

Rather interesting, thought the XL would do better.

does that figure include the One X and the One XL? I'm assuming that's Telstra numbers only?

I find it a bit sad that people will chose a non 4G handset when a great 4G handset is available to them.

SGS3 has a Wolfson DAC.

I find it a bit sad that people will choose an inferior sounding handset when a great sounding handset is available to them.

I had a Desire HD before my SGS3 and almost waited for the One XL, but the features of the S3 coupled with the fact that I rarely need to have my facebook page load 0.6sec faster than it currently does, means that SGS3 was a better choice with its greater feature set.

Just the XL, not the X..

Telstra numbers only..

Shops get people come in and ask for the SIII, where as the OneXL, has to be literally sold to a customer..

4G does not bother me much, I personally have the SIII. Besides 4G, the SIII is ahead in all other area's..

One of the most uninformed, idiotic and fanboyish posts i've ever read!

But I am not sure that really applies to the models we get here...

The S3 here isnt 2gb RAM, we are limited by our 3G network and the display is up to preference. I had a look at both in a telstra store and they both looked really good to me. So you are really down to the SD card slot which can be a deal breaker to some.

As a past/present owner of both... they are both good handsets.

I hate the "feel" of the SGS3, and loved the unibody of the One X, but the slightly larger battery of the SGS3 is also an important consideration.

I preferred the stock Sense to the stock Touchwiz, but Touchwiz is slightly smoother. Then again, what does it matter when I'll install a fresh AOSP rom over the top?

Real world, both are good phones, take good photos, have nice displays (One X definetly one here, the pentile on the SGS3 is noticable if you look for it) and sound ok.

Honestly, if I was to do it again... One X for sure, simply because a 16GB is $300 cheaper.

Not sure if I trust that chart. The SGS3 wipes the floor when it comes to image quality, yet its on par in the comparo? Nothing worse than paper benching...

Not only that but once again he's posting info on the overseas model vs a low end OS model.

This thread and user suck.

Dear EliteIntel, people know you are here to flog the S3 and as tech geeks we will make our OWN informed decisions and posting random BIASED comparisons is insulting to us, we are NOT that stupid.

I know the review in the OP is just your opinion but as a One X owner I just want to make a couple of points.

The battery is giving me around 12 hours of normal use (phone calls, gta, txts, etc). I would rate it about the same as the iPhone 4 battery (My previous phone).

The camera in all the YouTube comparisons I have seen is almost identical to the S3, with the edge going to the S3, but for video recording the One X is much better, especially in dark areas.

And finally the biggest point you got completely wrong, the screen. I have placed these phones side by side and have seen many comparisons.

The screen on the One X is the best screen on any phone, there is just no argument. The AMOLED on the S3 is good, but its a pentile display and has a blue wash over it.
