Lightbulb Sandia cooler (no fans!) it's gettin closer!!

Well it's been a while since there has been any new info on this pretty awesome new design for a cooler that is kinda like a spinning metal fan, none the less awesome tech that we all need.

It seems it's not just all smoke and mirrors like people from old threads have criticised, but is actually a revolutionary piece of cooling tech, the video explains much.

So far, the couple of vids I've watched on this say how it works as far as transferring the heat, but does it need a metal plate attached to the cpu first and that's where it then draws the heat from? I wonder if having the motor attached to that plate will be a problem for longevity? ATM it's a noisy little bugger, but it all seems to be motor whine. With a little refinement, that should be easy to fix.

Yeah about time they gave us some updates, been following this for awhile.. As far as I can tell it's meant to draw heat directly from the cpu so a metal plate//tim wouldnt make too much sense.. Imagine how scary that first bootup would be though, I'd wanna be doing a psu jump test like with a WC setup.
