I'm behind a proxy server at work, but I have one piece of software (Google SketchUp) that ignores network settings and attempts to directly connect to the internet (it appears to ping www.google.com). This causes a 10-20 second freeze while it times out, which is slowing down workflow
![]() I'm wondering if there is a way to intercept these direct attempts and trick the program into using a proxy instead? Thanks! Last edited by nexx; 26th June 2012 at 9:08 PM. |

Create an environmental variable http_proxy and add your proxy details to that.
