I saw a thread on POTN of the same title, and thought it might be interesting to see what our fellow OCAUers use.

So I thought that it would be a good idea to see pictures of some existing studio setups. Yours and others if you like.

This would help a lot of people in the forum to get an idea of how to build a studio of various shapes and sizes.

My dodgy home studio, excuse the crappy mobile photo. House has 12ft ceilings which are great for hanging backdrops. Serves me well enough for my needs.

My wife took this on her iPhone, so not a great shot...

I use 2 x Elinchrom strobes with softboxes and 2 x Canon flashes.
All triggered with Elinchrom radio receivers. (The strobes have them built-in)

10ft ceilings with a white or black sheet hung from a bar.

It's a big lounge room, so great to shoot in.

my Studio set is currently in a box.

No space for a perm setup, however i have the following:

2x 300W Studio Flashes
1x Cannon 600 EX
Boune Umbrellas
flash umbrellas
+ some other random DX bargains like some G27 stands, for modeling lighting etc etc.

Old one but here goes:

2x 750w Gemini lights out of scene.
2x 580EXII flashes

Several light modifiers and other lights there not being used.

3m high ceiling and about 8m length.

I just use my lounge room or other rooms in/around my home.
My wife is an interior designer and loves the whole minimilast thing... so it makes setup pretty straightforward

I've got some shoots on the weekend, will take a setup pic or two.

Here's a couple of quick shots I took when testing my new Elinchrom lights the other night...

I would love to have an room to set this up more permanently... but can't at this point... bedrooms aren't really big enough for doing much more than 3/4 shots... (without using too wide of a focal length)

No room in my place even close to big enough except our main living area.

Therefore I have to move all couches, rug and coffee table out to do things like this :P

Ditto… I’ve had a shoot every weekend for the last 7 weeks (and 2 shoots on a couple of them).
Got sick of dismantling the lounge room, so I just moved our couch and TV into the sunroom for a couple of weeks… Doubles as a nice lounge/waiting area for the shoots now :-P
