Default NIC doesn't work unless I disable and re enable it

Hey all, minor issue with my NIC since I reinstalled windows.
When I boot, I have to disable and re enable it in order for it to work, otherwise it just says 'could not start'.

I'm certain it's a driver issue as I fired up my old windows install and it was working without that issue.

Motherboard is a DFI MI P55-T36 and the NIC is the Intel 82578DC. I'm using the latest driver off the intel website. I'll try and see if I can use the driver from my other install but if that doesn't work any help would be appreciated

You might want to list which OS version you are using, and which one you were using prior, I'm going to assume it is the same version.

Woah holy thread resurrection batman! It was windows 7, and I ended up reinstalling for an unrelated issue and pulled my old driver and everything is hunky dory now

I don't think a month is a resurrection. I saw it a few pages back. Glad to know you sorted out this simple problem

Even though I don't have the issue now, what was the fix?
