Default Your Photo of the Week (15th July 2012)

A new thread every week where you can post a shot for the week.

It may be your favourite for any number of reasons, ie technically good, a favorite model, or even just because it's different to what you normally shoot.

Add the story that goes with the picture if you like but it's not necessary. It's just an excuse to post a picture that you'd like to share.

Feel free to ask for a critique if you like and comment on other shots if you wish.

Beasthouse is your monitor calibrated? I have noticed on a fair few of your last updates some really odd colours and weird flatness to your shots. I know the d800 is quite flat SOOC with RAWS but wondering if its part of your processing.

Yep it is. Maybe it's the compression? I haven't really done much processing to be honest. A few I've blended, a couple I have adjusted some saturation, contrast, brightness etc on. Maybe it's the colour space? I did change it a while ago, can't remember what it is though. Maybe sRGB?!? Not at home at the moment, I can check then!

Edit: actually 90% sure it's Adobe RGB. Some shots I've also used the vivid in camera mode as well. If I don't, it's Camera Neutral or Adobe Standard

Our youngest is no longer a toddler.
Wish I had've taken more pictures of her when she was younger but she was never as keen as her older siblings.

It looks fine if using a browser that honours colour spaces correctly. I view it in Firefox and it looks fine, but if I view it in Chrome then it looks all blue/yellowish... bets are those seeing it weird are using a browser that is ignoring the colour space.

Yup it was Chrome, in firefox it looks a lot better.

It's funny because the one two images (Jashil below you) is with a d800 as well but seems a lot more punchy (editing aside). Im guessing sRGB exports for Jashil and Adobe for Beasthouse.

It looks better on firefox, but still not quite right.
