Default How can I transfer from Voda to Telstra?

My girlfriend and I are both with Vodafone but have had terrible service for the past 6 months+ whether we're in the city, north west Sydney or even south west Sydney - it doesn't matter where. Constant cutting out and terrible internet service when we try use it on our phones and its gotten to a point where we're just fed up with the lack of service.

I complained once and they asked everything such as numbers I called, what times I called them, what carrier they're with, the location of me and the person I called etc etc.. 'investigation' returned no good news.

I'm 6 months into my contract, girlfriend is about 8 months into hers I think, what can we do in order to change provider without paying an exit fee due to terrible service? I remember someone once about the Telecommunication Ombudsman or something? Thanks!

Its always better to sort it out before ombudsmen get involved - but that doesn't mean that you can't threaten them with it. Call them and get it escalated to someone who can waive the exit fees. I have seen it done before, just keep pushing that the service is unacceptable, and if they don't waive it, you will go to the ombudsmen and push for not only the exit fee's waived, but a refund on the bills you haven't had full use of your phone. Chances are all the ombudsmen can do is the exit feels waived, but you may get onto someone who doesn't know what they are doing and will waive it

Clearly everyone could do this to everyone else, and soon OCAU would be a lonely place.
