Default Arthur River seascape

I'm still getting through my Tasmania shots and here is one from 'Edge of the World' at Arthur River. I took out my 70-200 and shot some seascapes with it. It was quite different to using the 17-40.

Edit: I just finished editing another shot so thought I'd add it here rather than creating a new thread. This shot was taken on the northern side of the Arthur River.

C&C Welcome!

Thanks,

Martin

#1 clouds look good, would have been better if they were darker, not sure if a dodge/burn might give them more menace. Water looks good, rocks look good too, but possibly verging on over sharpened/saturated?

#2 I prefer this shot, love the logs, almost looks B&W, composition win.

Thanks for the C&C. I did lighten them a bit as I didn't like them a bit darker but I suppose it can be up to personal preference. I think you're right re: sharpening.

Most definitely am drawn to #2 due to the logs. The rocks in #1 irk me as they look like rendered things from Farcry 1.

Mmm mmm mmmmm (in the tone of an excited middle-aged African-American lady), #2 is plain butter on toast!

BTW, kudos for all the other Tasmanian produce you've posted of late; very nice stuff.

#1 looks odd. I think there's too much sharpening and saturation.

I like #2 though. The water looks like mist
