Hey all.
Wanting to know if i can just swapout my files harddrive (currently 2TB) with a new 3TB drive without much difficulty. Currently have a 60GB SSD as the boot drive, but a 2TB HDD is the location for my users. W7HP os. Is it as simple as copying my 'user' folder over to the new drive, and then swapping the drives (as long as its the same drive letter)? Or will there be a conflict since the serials will be different (not sure if windows reads series when finding locations) Thanks

You can clone the 2TB to the 3TB, it'll just be a complete copy of everything.

I wasn't wanting to copy everything, just the 'user' folder. Theres an old file thats my old C: backups, that it wont let me delete for some reason, even though it has nothing to do with this install. So wanting to get rid of that at the same time.

Insert new hdd.
Copy over wanted files. Change drive letters in disk management. Do whatever you want with the old hdd.
