Default Canon EOS M Mirrorless Camera

Canon EOS M mirrorless camera allegedly revealed

Image of 22mm F2 STM EF-M and the Canon EOS M-less mirror machine

Ugly looking thing. Rumour APS-C Sized Sensor = 35mm equivalent.

Model name = EOS M. New EF-M Mount.

Could be a cool alternative to the Sony NEX provided they release a decent array of lenses, that's what always stopped me from going Sony for mirrorless.

If it can take EF lenses somehow then I would consider it as a replacement for my S95. That way my wife can use it with the glass that I'm not using at the time.

beat me to it... wheres the farking viewfinder?

i dont know what is so hard about making compact cameras with APSC sensors, my DP1 has an apsc sensor and is great apart from the firmware, and good firmware is very small and probably wouldn't make the camera much bigger.

if this comes as a 50mm equivalent rangefinder i'm interested, it clearly isn't so i'm not.

I hope it's still EOS mount, just with different lenses - preferably non-retrofocus wide angles.

Because it's going to be hilarious to see all the 5D Fuckwits buy the EOS-M lenses "because they're cheaper, and all the same, right?", twist 'em onto their FF SLRs, hit the shutter and crack the mirror...

Since when is an APS-C sensor equivalent to 35mm?

Looks like you could just slide the flash straight off the front of that hot shoe. The camera may be real but I have doubts that it looks like that "photo".

By the look of it (using my super-technical, CSI Miami-grade in-browser Ctrl+Scroll up zoom), the top of the hot shoe is hooked over half a millimetre or so.

Looks a bit that way on the left but the right looks wide open. Hard to tell.

I think it's just an optical illusion - the different tones and colours blend into one another at that resolution and lighting setup - ie, the shiner, darker plastic melts into the duller but lighter metal. JPEG artifacts don't help, either.
