Thanks for sharing, Warcraft was one of those games that really captured the imagination and addictive gameplay, I remember buying a shareware copy for $10 at HN (in thin rectangle box) because the orginal demo cd got scratched and I just wanted to play again(can you imagine paying for a demo?), the game had really good music too as do all Blizzard titles.

Awesome read, thanks for posting. Warcraft/Warcraft2 were the first PC games I ever really got into, and playing it while dialed to a mate over modem was awesome fun.

Thoroughly enjoyable read. I remember a year or two ago when I booted up War1 and played through the campaigns. Not sure I would play again but reading about how excited he was creating the game gives me a better appreciation for how awesome the game really was back in the day.

Not being a coder (I hated it in uni), how hard would it be in 2012 to make a game like Warcraft (apart from the sounds / artwork)??
