Default Sleeping Dogs

Quote:
Welcome to Hong Kong, a vibrant neon city teaming with life, whose exotic locations and busy streets hide one of the most powerful and dangerous criminal organizations in the world: the Triads.

In this open world game, you play the role of Wei Shen, an undercover cop trying to take down the Triads from the inside out. You'll have to prove yourself worthy as you fight your way up the organization, taking part in brutal criminal activities without blowing your cover. Torn between your loyalty to the badge and a criminal code of honor, you will risk everything as the lines between truth, loyalty and justice become permanently blurred.

Key Features:
  • A mature and gritty undercover cop drama in which you risk blowing your cover at any time.
  • Explosive action fueled by a seamless mix of deadly martial arts, intense gunfights and brutal takedowns.
  • Epic high-speed thrills: Burn up the streets or tear up the sea in a vast array of exotic cars, superbikes and speedboats.
  • Hong Kong is your playground: Enter illegal races, gamble on cock fights, or kick back with some karaoke. There are countless ways to entertain yourself in Hong Kong's diverse districts.

Jesus. Let me guess, the vanilla game only gives you access to your character's kitchen and living room (Bathroom DLC available for $9.95).

I don't know how much of it is free vs paid vs preorder bonus yet, but it seems a bit excessive either way

Maybe, maybe it's free though, it's hard to tell at the moment:

If it was for PC though and it was ready at launch, I don't see why they wouldn't include it in the game file download

HiRes isnt for everyone, so.. if it makes the game cost less for those that dont want it..

Cost less? If they actually are charging for it, that is pathetic

If they aren't, there's no reason it shouldn't be an option in the ingame menu. Wouldn't you think it was weird if Crysis (or a bajillion other games) came out with only medium res textures with high res being downloadable?

The only reason it'd cost less would be due to logistics of including highres in the download... No reason why it shouldn't be included in the first place - unless they're something like 30gb+

The game is vaguely on my radar mainly because Squeenix have been treating PC quite well lately. To that end this game is going to go under the radar regardless of quality and squeenix love sales so I'd be shocked if you can't pick this up for $20 or less before the end of the year. Also DLC BS.... eh....

Sell a full featured game for $80, or cut some out of it and sell it as DLC which adds up to that same $80 but the core game is cheaper.

Like it or not, DLC is here to stay.. may as well embrace it

dlc is just like the old expansion packs concept except there's no discs...only codes to redeem.

So for Mass Effect 2, the alternate outfit DLCs, what old expansion packs would you compare them to?
