There isn't a huge difference with the high resolution textures but it didn't hit my performance, so you may as well use them.

aw man, wtf? i set all graphic options on the highest res at 1920x1080 and vsync on and i get 14 frames per second wtf? i turn aa to normal and i get 40-50. WTF? got 2xgtx 480.

EDIT: have to set shadows to off and AA to normal and i hit 60fps. OH well. Game still looks arlight with the high res pack

but if anyone knows a work around on how to get AA to extremem and still get 60 fps i would like to know. Maybe the game doesnt support sli or maybe its the drivers or bad optimisation who knows,.

Had to visit someone in the hospital last night, I'll post them later on, didn't get a chance to play it once I had gotten home and started the texture pack download at midnight

Everyone who I've talked to says it's a really good game though, it just lacks polish that GTAIV has (not in regard to optimisation though, apparently it runs well on 4-5 year old machines)

EDIT: interesting - @ 1920x1080 on my 670 OC'd using high settings with v-sync off it seems to stay above 60fps.

also, the game doesn't disable the screensaver either and causes the game to go out of fullscreen mode.

EDIT 2: it seems that the AA being used is sucking the FPS down, with vsync and AA off it gets at least 120fps on high settings....and i am fine with that. this game seems really geared towards the controller cos the keyboard and mouse combo is average at best and feels slow when connecting moves together.

yes does not like AA at all lol
