Default Adding 16GB kit to 8GB existing?

Hey guys,

I currently run 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws XL (2x4gb) and wanted to increase memory for a few reasons. The logical choice would be another set of the above for a cool <$50 but for $99 I can get myself a 16GB kit such as the G.Skill F3 16GBNT which would take me to 24GB total.

Will an 8 and 16GB kit work well together or should I be trying to match them exactly?

(I run ASRock P67 Extreme4 with i7 2600K)

I'm running Windows 7 Pro (x64) so i should be fine, without looking at that link I'm pretty sure the limit is 192GB, but Windows Home Premium is a lot less...

Yeah I think you're right, I've had memory issues in the past and they're not fun as they usually creep up on you not always obvious on day 1...

Might get one of those 32GB G.Skill kits you mentioned in the other thread and keep my current 8GB for another system.

Thanks
