Top shots! I'll have to go back there in sunny weather!

The viewing area is great, but you have to go there when the planes are landing from the south. If they are taking off to the south, they are usually well up by the time they pass the viewing area.

Its a great viewing platform, but i never seem to be able to time it so that im there when they are taking off from the south. Or when they would be, there are no departures scheduled!

It would have been even better if they placed it further up the runway, or in the corner inbetween the 2 runways. It would be an all-weather viewing platform then!

Great shots of the SQ777 and the QF747!

Not sure if there is mobile reception there but you can also listen in here.

http://www.liveatc.net/search/?icao=ypph

Gives you a better idea of what is going on and adds another dimension to plane spotting.

They sure dont look after her do they... Wonder when it she last had a wash! Ive got photos of her from Feb where you can see where the air-bridges have marked or worn away the paint around the doors, and all of the joins are dirty. Not seen that on any other plane, even in bunky old Perth.
