Baby Photos

I don't usually post portraits but I would love some feedback on these.

Some close friends had a baby a couple of weeks ago and came round on the weekend to get some photos of the little guy while he's still small, squishy and pliable. Meet Ryan...

I also used the opportunity to get some my photos of my little guy – Archie, he's 12 weeks old now and really starting to smile and interact with us. Maybe I'm biased but I reckon this one's a gem...

Setup was using 2 speedlights with shoot-through umbrellas with a muslin backdrop in my living room.

... and I thought this thread was a lost cause. Thanks for all the comments guys, it's appreciated.

Martin, it's not an easy shot to get, I was never able to get the same with Archie. I think the key is to do it when they're very young and less alert, seem to be more pliable then. Also helped to have all day to shoot. Just shooting on and off as the boys were nice and happy.
