Default get rid of browser

I think that is what they are called

Anyway

Through no fault 0f mine I have 2 browsers, inbox (the one I dont want ) and google chrom ( the one I want )

How do I get rid of inbox. Ibox has it's own uninstall which does not work, I downloaded google thinking it would take over, but no. I used revo uninstaller which removed parts of inbox. Now it appears inbox has taken over and it looks like I cannot get rid of it.

I have also tried tools / options but there is only the one browser there which is inbox, although I downloaded and installed google I thought there would be two there and I could select whichever I wanted. I also tried system restore but it would not restore back to a previous date.

SO how do get rid of inbox

it's a toolbar, try resetting the browser and then using something like Malwarebytes.

In IE it's under Settings, Internet Options, Advanced and then hit reset.

Does this fix it?

I think your Home Page is set to inbox.com. You can find this out by going to Tools | Options | General Panel . Under Start up, tell me what your Home Page is.

I don't know of a browser called Inbox myself. With Chrome the above would simply be: [Spanner Icon (top right)] > [Settings] > [If you see inbox.com in here, change it to whatever address you want]

  1. Rip out all browsers in Add-remove programs, bloody chrome as well.
  2. Go to Control panel, Internet options, go to advanced tab and hit both the Resets at bottom.
  3. Go to the programs tab then Manage add-ons and disable ALL toolbars then clear out search providers, any accelerators too.

Now come back with results.
