In the 1970s it was all about beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun.

But 40 years on we're entering the age of lobster chunks, lobster salad and caviar, or beef and lobster piled on a white bun.

Hamburgers have come on in leaps and strides and their old offerings are now looking a bit tired and a bit has-been and I think they have to see how they can try and catch up.

Or, if that's not quite to your taste, lamb, tomato, beetroot, aioli, ketchup, onion and an egg.

Hearing its name conjured up a completely different image.

The McLameBurger will never be a replacement for the only true drunken food, the late night lamb sandwich.. the kebab !!

In burgers, Lamb is always superior to beef. And kangaroo is always superior to both of them.

But Kangaroo is too icky for the average macca's connoisseur.

I'd give it a go, but i don't get hammered enough anymore to actually go out and buy maccas.

Interesting regarding the costs.

On the off chance that I go to Mcdonalds, I expect 2 things... Cheap and Fast.

With the Lobster ones mentioned costing $16-$20 Cheap is crossed of the list.
