Default Identify this component

Can anyone ID this for me ?
Its on a motor controll board and marked as PS3

this is what i THINK it should look like as this one is marked PS2 and there is another marked as PS1

markings on PS2 are W30 300
I expect the power on the board to be running around 12 - 24v
near the blown component is a negative wire that looks chared, it may have shorted to the inductor if it got hot and melted the sheath, or it could be the result of the component failing.
I would like to try and repair this as it is the controll board for an automatic door that i hope to put in the MAN CAVE

That looks like a 30V 3A PTC, similar to this .

Without knowing the manufacturer on the one you have. Makes it a bit hard, as different manufacturer uses different marking codes.

I'd say that one is a a raychem/littlefuse equivalent.

I'd say something down the line has gone faulty and caused the PTC to pop.
We usually find a shorted MOSFET/SCR/Diode/etc in the welders at work when that happens.

The self diognostic on the unit say it has a dc fault.
it gives me hope that the logics of the board are ok and this might be part of the motor driveing section, it uses a dc motor so it might have been caused by someone manualy pushing the door open and generating a voltage

I have replaced numerous of these controlers. I am hopeing i can get one of the old ones to work
I might try and clean it up and bridge it with a fuse and see what happens, it cant get much more busted

Do you have an overall photo of the device?
