Default nzxt w/cool advice

Hello. First time posting I think, so if I missed something obvious then I apologise

I want to do my first WC system & would appreciate some advice. I want to initially just do a CPU, but in future extend the setup to also cool 2 gfx cards in SLI and maybe whatever else might need to be cooled on the mobo. The two things I want the WC to do is keep the system cool AND quiet - love my quiet. Looking for a moderate OC on a 3930k or similar and the GFX cards I'll probably buy already OCd.

NZXT Switch 810 Case Matte Black
-From what I gather it's one of the few cases for a reasonable price ($215) that can handle the bigger radiators; Coming from an Antec P182 I guess this NZXT will feel too plastic and weak but I couldn't find anything suitable in the Antec range (<3 Antec)
Ek Supremacy Full Nickel
XSPC RX360 Radiator
- anyone know if the 420mm one would fit here?
XSPC RX240 Radiator
- second rad for the future SLI cooling
XSPC D5 Dual Bay Reservoir and Pump Combo
PrimoFlex Pro LRT Tubing UV Red 1/2ID 3/4OD 10ft Retail
Bitspower G1/4 Silver Shining 1/2 Fitting
- are these the right fittings? do I need anything else like o-rings or something?
Noctua NF-F12 PWM 120mm Fan
- the fans with the rads are 63mm+25mm=88mm - Case says 90mm space; would that be enough in practise?
ASUS Rampage IV Gene Motherboard
- Only because it's red to go with cables/tubes...
Corsair AX1200 Gold Power Supply
Corsair AX Series Red Sleeved Modular Cable Kit

Those parts are exactly what i have (except for the mobo, psu, fans and w/block)

RX360 will definitely fit on the top in a pull config, push depends on your mobo and if there are any large heatsinks protruding out at the top. I believe 420mm rads will fit but you have to mod the case.

The RX240 will fit on the bottom but only if your PSU is equal to or shorter than 190mm. The AX1200 is 200mm so I'm pretty sure it wont fit. I have a 190mm PSU in mine at the moment and it is EXTREMELY tight. You might be able to force it in there somehow though maybe?

The fittings are fine, you may need to get some angled ones as the 3/4" tubing isn't very flexible. They come with o-rings.

The rest of your parts I have no idea about.

Thanks for the responses. I just realised the "XSPC RayStorm D5 RX360 Water Cooling Kit" has all the components for almost half the price. Just need to add an RX240 to the mix.

Two questions I hope someone can answer to satisfy my curiosity:

1. Would it be better to have two loops in this case given I'll have two rads or stick with one loop?

2. In a review on this case I saw the guy had push-pull WC and a massive heatsink also push-pull on the CPU... is this something that's done to have a CPU cooled both ways? Does it give much better results? Only ask because I happen to have a massive heatsink like that already which I'd otherwise retire.

Thx

1. nope, always 1 loop unless you have upwards of 5 blocks.

2. I can't picture that in my head and even if I could it sounds stupid. Stick with the watercooling

Thanks.

Skip to about 33min:00 to see the HS + WC knockout combo; at first I thought he was just trying to show that you can fit both but towards the end he went on about how you really want both or nothing and I was thinking... is that some new trend??

Was that the TTL review? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LHjJ8sPe_8

I think he was just showing how much room there is in the case, he doesnt have a waterblock and then a heatsink on top of that, thats just nonsensical.

Yeah he's not doing anything like that. He's installed everything with air cooling then he just shoved a radiator in there to show the clearances and stuff

I can't see why it wouldn't work. Actually its a good idea in theory. Basically a rad mounted where everyone has some space.

They just took all of the efficiency out of a waterblock though.
Look at how it's made, the water doesn't go anywhere near the CPU

There's 4 pipes that travel straight through the fins to the block for liquid to go through. Biggest falldown is that it's not a copper block, it's alu
