By "no trace software" do you mean applications that prevent tracking and IP address logging?

Try Peerblock for blocking you IP address from know "bad" addresses.

Try TOR if you want some all out anonymous browsing

Yep!

Be prepared for a slower browsing speed but if you want the security, it is a fair trade off.

I wouldnt use toor, its really for censored countries, not for you to be scared of a few cookies.

Install adblock, go through the lists there. Have a look at peerblock too, and the subscriptions. Also there is a do not track app for facebook

There is also a plug-in for Firefox that tells you who is tracking you on each web site and how long they continue to track you for after leaving their site.

there is a "do not track" addon for fire fox. its free and if your only worried about tracking when browsing this is a light weight, free addon

here is enable the built in feature in firefox
http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/...-track-feature

and here cross platform version
http://www.abine.com/dntdetail.php/

two solutions

also try noscript for firefox

Wow I tried that Toro online and used my works logmein and it was like waiting for grass to grow. That anonymoX is only for 500mb and then you need to pay for pro version if you want more.

I have set Firefox to the I do not want to be traked.
