Default The ongoing adventures of an OCOW in europe!

Since moving to Augsburg, quite by chance I found out there was a fellow OCAU guy at the new work place. Naturally wanting to fly the OCAU flag, when the mug sale with free cow came up, we grabbed one and now the cow has become the OCAUbayern travel mascot.

I dont intend this to be a serious photolog, but will try to remember to take the little guy out of the office to graze every now and again.

First up, the Augsburg Plaerrer, kind of a warm up for that other small beer festival they have every year:

And now I have your undivided attention, may I present the latest O-cow adventure, to Lausanne, Switzerland!

Trip on the train takes around 7 hours. Pay an extra 20€ to get 1st class there and back? Is that a real question?

O-cow scores the window seat outta Zurich.

Up near the main church in Lausanne gets a nice view over the city and across to France.

The afore mentioned church.

Chillin out on the banks of Lake Geneva, grazing on some green bread.

Hour and a half away in Gruyere, aka the heart of cheese and chocolate country. Just to cover some important questions:
Yes, that pot was filled to the brim with melted cheese.
Yes, there were only 2 of us (O-cow didn’t pull his weight).
Yes, it was empty when we left.

Rather than not eat for a week after the cheese, it was decided that a 1hr walk was sufficient to burn it off, and thus it was a great idea to go to the Cailler chocolate factory. MY GOD THAT’S GOOD CHOCOLATE. Tour ends in this room, where the idea is you walk around the table sampling and then head out to the store. Of course, there’s nothing stopping you from staying here walking back and forth until you feel sick, except maybe self-consciousness. I am not a self-conscious person.

OCOW has been a little tardy in terms of actually getting pictures up, however has had no problems travelling...

Of course this would have nothing to do with any forms of tardiness.
