yeah, confirmed they called it "iPhone 5"

7.6mm thickness, 112g, 20% lighter than iPhone 4S

Yes, Telstra, Virgin and Optus all will be supported.

Dock adapter looks horrid, also now plug will be too long for it to fit properly in the little perfect nook in my car dash FFFUUUUU

Mm, not really sold on the improvements, imo the 4S is good enough and will (presumably) get iOS6, not that iOS6 is much of a step forward too (imo again).

The adapters for the new dock connector

Too bad things like Passbook etc. aren't that widespread in Australia, as well as Google Wallet. Would be awesome to have, but alas...

Now to top off my night they need to announce 13inch retina macbook with SSD and quad core i7 for under $1800
