Default 850W PSU OK for two 7970's

Got a 850W Toughpower in the Ivy Bridge rig in my sig. Looking to swap out the two 580's and put in two 7970's. Heard they need a fair bit of juice tho.

Reckon I need to upgrade the PSU too?

I've seen a few people run 2 7970s on Corsair AX850. Now I don't know how AX850 compares with Thermaltake PSU though.

I'm pretty sure you're going to end up using LESS power than your old cards <:

I did exactly what you are asking, I had 2x 580 overclocked in SLI an I got 2x 7970ghz instead on a corsair tx850 and they draw slightly less power.
