I'm "sad" to be honest. Mistakes can happen, really, but this kind of treatment and shabby attemps to cover it up are at such a low level, I never thought this to be possible at a site like www.hardocp.com

I hope that after a cooling down period they come at least with a kind of explanation.

there is a reply from [H] about this

I fully stand by our results. We test on systems with fresh installs and no other software piled on. The latest patches from MS and the latest drivers we can lay our hands on.

Our scores are verified and repeatable. I have seen sites report no differences to big differences that we did not see. It is going to be interesting to see how HT washes out in real world apps on real desktops for sure.

One thing I know for sure is that HT is not inherently "bad". Once we see applications programmed with it in mind, the results will be even better

Yes I am sad as well but at the same time did they even try a different cpu since as per the response from them they have reinstalled os and patches but keeping the same chip.

agree 100% bravo. well now steve looks like a bit of a turkey... well actually, he's been a turkey for a while

as chainy said, changing the results without comment after everyone else's results have been published is very "fishy".

My post was in no way inpolite, I was just quesitioning and asking for an expalanation. Now, I think it's not necessary to comment on this. It'a all clear now: they manipulated their result and got caught in the act, and are now trying to cover it up by silencing everybody who is pointing at the affair.
this is what happened to everyone who questioned steve's waterblocking comparison testing methods.

i'm actually not going back there again - i used to pretty much ignore all of the reviews and just read the frontpage news... but i'm not going to make those clowns any more richer with my hits.

edit: hmmm, maybe just one more time to get banned

WTF!

You saved that picture the other day??? That is amazing, the review was posted less than 24hrs ago...EVERY review was posted less than 24 hours ago.

the review was posted this last night.

Your picture is a fake, I am flat out telling you your picture is fake, and you posted it intentionally to start trouble. Not sure what axe you are trying to grind.... but lying and saying you saved the picture the "other day" wasn't to smart."

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look at teh last post by steve - he's telling everyone to fuck themselves! lollllllll

HGe's stooped low at toms hardware

heh, the thread's been deleted. it's a cover-up that kind of reminds me of the soviet union's antics 30-40 years ago... or even the americans now

credibility at hardocp is now lost. people are gonna start bagging them like they bag tomshardware.

gotta love it

I'm done with hardocp... after this debacle.. I would have stayed if they had even at least just come out with a "sorry we screwed up" post.. but to try to cover it up and come up with lame reasons on people getting fake charts is just pathetic.

In any case...this looks like a nice place

It seems to me that it is much wider than the one currently on the review page, and also if you zoom in it has been compressed with what looks like MSPaint, because it is not as clear cut around the edges...

Just wondering..

Off topic from [H] matter:

I thought that Johan's review on www.aceshardware.com is very good and show something else that other sites don't mention about.

Anyone else?
