Default Squad

So if anyone remembers project reality mod for battlefield 2, this game is developed by the same guys.

has just been greenlit on steam
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfil.../?id=402654862

looks quite a lot like project reality so it should be pretty awesome. project reality was the only time ive seen people actually team up and play together well in any pub game and i sunk many hours into it, was the most fun ive had playing an online game.

EDIT: early access available through steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/393380/

Haven't seen a date posted yet. I would assume it will have a public alpha/beta before full release

They are hoping to go steam early access later this year. with full release when they are satisfied that they have done what they set out to do.

I played a fair of of PR with some of the OCAU guys back when we had the BF2 clan going. And looking at videos and gameplay it's a game i will be jumping on.

btw they just started a kickstarter to get some funding under them.

I'm surprised there isn't more talk about this game, it looks like its going to be an intense tactical game that people would love. Maybe its not getting out there enough... i have looked at some recent game footage and compared to when i saw some a month or two ago looks 100% better in that short amount of time...

Good tactical shooters are few and far between. I was hoping RS:siege was going to fill that gap for me but it just looks like a more explody version of CS:GO.

Then i read about what these guys were doing and wet my pants with excitement.

I'm currently an internal tester and military consultant on this game.

I have to admit - it's very enjoyable. Awesome fun. It's at a good stage at the moment, weapons are all working well, and it's really functional. Prior to Early Access there will be one or two more maps and more bug fixes and enhancements.

I think you all will enjoy it immensely!

It looks a little clunky. Promising though, if they can polish it a little more and get destructible terrain.
