Default IBM 8513003 VGA CRT (1990)

I thought I would list this IBM 8513 as I have no use for it.

It's the one I repaired in this thread:
http://forums.overclockers.com.au/sh....php?t=1209226

So the VGA cable is not original.

I'll provide 1 month warranty of refund/repair. Warrenty is void if you drop it...

Pickup is from Epping 2121.

RES $0

Also while I'm feeling like Christmas might've just come early, I don't suppose you have or know where I can get my hands on an IBM PC (Model 5150) or PC XT (Model 5160) with Mono CRT (Model 5151)?

I still have my original PS/2 and Model M keyboard, and I used to have the 8513 to go with it, but a mate "borrowed" the monitor in about 1999 and I haven't seen him since

I would be stoked to be able to get it all reunited

You could bid on this, but I can only imagine it'll go a lot higher ...

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Original-...UAAOSwa~BYRg~0

Edit: Just noticed it's a Taxan rather than a 5151 monitor, but it still looks pretty good!

Wow, thanks for the find

I'm gonna message the seller now just in case they'll take Buy it Now offer just before the auction gets silly - at eBay prices I doubt I'll be able to afford it, and yeah as you mentioned, I'd still want to hunt down the "correct" CRT for it

I'll get back to you, this could be hard (and expensive) to ship. I do fly down to Melb on a regular basis though, maybe checked luggage is an option?

Its really good you have a matching system for it.

Sorry, the only other CRTs I have are the Topcon and Amstrad shown in the repair thread.

I did just get two IBM MDA cards, I'll eventually pass on at least one of these if people are interested.

Yeah I understand, but my chances of getting one of these anywhere else are somewhere between 0 and none

Although, if it's just not worth your trouble, I can understand, I'll eventually find something

As I mentioned (although I was probably rambling), I'm more than happy to pay a bit extra to cover the cost of packaging materials / boxes / and your time and effort to package it securely. And courier costs (with insurance) obviously.

Have a look in my "museum" collection thread - as you can tell I'm pretty keen to get my hands on this one way or another. If you can bring it with you in carry-on luggage, even better, and I'd be happy to collect it / you from Melb airport (I live quite close) and drop you wherever you need to be as a favour for bringing it down
